This Mediterranean cruise departs from Civitavecchia near Rome, with boarding beginning in the early afternoon. Civitavecchia is an historic port town with roots dating back to Etruscan times and has many intriguing attractions that you can enjoy before boarding, such as Forte Michelangelo, Terme Taurine and Cattedrale di San Francesco. There is also a wealth of Roman and Vatican architecture to enjoy, as well as fascinating museums. Being so close to the Eternal City, we highly recommend enjoying the sights in Rome before boarding, including the iconic Colosseum and Roman Forum, as well as Vatican City, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
Our recommended tours:
We offer a complete holiday planning service, which means that we have the pleasure of offering you exclusive tours to enhance your experience. Before beginning your cruise, you can enjoy one of our VIP tours of Rome – simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page for more information.

Day 2: Visit Tuscany’s Renaissance gems
On the first full day of your luxury Mediterranean cruise, you will stop at Livorno on Tuscany’s coast, where you will have a full day to explore. Livorno is an excellent base from which to discover some of our favourite towns and cities in Tuscany, such as Pisa, Lucca and Florence, and we can arrange a day trip to any of these cities as a part of your Italy cruise package so that you can simply relax and look forward to your Tuscan adventure. If you would prefer to discover the charming Tuscan atmosphere of Livorno, we highly recommend visiting the vibrant market and looking out for tasty cinque e cinque, which is a type of chickpea (garbanzo) pancake served in fresh focaccia with a spicy sauce.
Our recommended tours: We offer a range of day tours from Livorno. Choose from: a Day Tour to Pisa & Lucca with Wine Tasting, a Chianti Wine-tasting Experience or our Renaissance Walking Tour of Florence (with optional entry to the Accademia or Uffizi). To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 3: Recline in luxury in Olbia
After discovering the culture and beautiful country scenery of Tuscany, today you will have the oportunity to recline in the sunshine on the luxury island of Sardinia as your Regent Seven Seas cruise stops at Olbia on the island’s north-east coast, not far from the exclusive resort of Costa Smeralda. As well as stunning beaches and sublime sea views that will lull you into a state of complete relaxation, Olbia is home to many cultural attractions, including the 11th-century Cathedral and the Punic burials, as well as vibrant natural sights, including magical sea caves. We also highly recommend sampling some of the fresh seafood in Olbia – local favourites are lobster cooked in Italian wine and seadas, which are cheese-filled crêpes covered in honey.
Our recommended tours: Olbia is the perfect base from which to discover the decadence of the Costa Smeralda and we think you’ll love the luxury of our VIP Costa Smeralda Day Tour, which includes a private transfer from Olbia to Costa Smeralda, as well as visits to Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 4: Wander through lemon groves in Sorrento
After discovering the stunning beaches in Sardinia, today you explore the coastal delights on Italy’s south coast as the Regent Seven Seas Voyager anchors at the port town of Sorrento. This charming town is famous for its citrus groves – the lemons of which are used to make the Italian liqueur limoncello – and it is also the perfect base from which to explore the region. If you enjoy archaeology and ancient history, we highly recommend visiting Pompeii, which was lost for nearly 1500 years following a volcanic eruption in 79 AD. Today, it is considered one of the world’s most important archaeological sites, where you can see how people lived so many years ago. If you would prefer to explore the natural attractions, we recommend visiting the island of Capri, which is known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean. It is a vibrant island with plenty of boutique stores to enjoy, as well as pretty Mediterranean gardens, magical sea caves (don’t miss the Blue Grotto) and unusual natural rock formations, making this tranquil island the perfect place no matter what your interests!
Our recommended tour: Journey back in time with our exclusive VIP Land Excursion to Pompeii, which features a thought-provoking tour of the archaeological site with a private guide. Or, for a relaxing treat, enjoy a Wine-tasting Experience in the Foothills of Mount Vesuvius, featuring local wines and decadent Italian snacks, or our Capri & Anacapri Day Tour. Simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page for more information.

Day 5: Marvel at Mount Etna in Taormina
After discovering the enticing beauty of Sorrento and Capri, today you can explore the chic town of Taormina, which sits at the foothills of Mount Etna on the east coast of Sicily. The Voyager anchors in the bay of Giardini Naxos, allowing you to appreciate fantastic views of the UNESCO-protected natural site of Mount Etna and Taormina. It is just a short transfer to Taormina, where you can explore the fascinating attractions, such as the Duomo (Cathedral), Palazzo Corvaja, the Anglican Church of Saint George, the Church of San Domenico and the exquisite Baroque fountain. Alternatively, opt for one of our exclusive land excursions to see the wider region, including the epic Mount Etna.
Our recommended tour: We highly recommend enjoying our Mount Etna Wine-tasting Experience, featuring local wines produced from the Etna vineyards. Or for something a little more exhilarating, enjoy our Quad Bike Tour to the Etna Lava Fields. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 6: Relax as the Regent Seven Seas Voyager cruises through the Ionian Sea
After leaving Sicily, the Voyager will cruise through the blissful waters of the Ionian Sea toward the stunning Greek islands. Whilst cruising, you can take advantage of the on-board facilities, such as the spa and fitness suite, or the duty-free boutiques. Regent Seven Seas also has a Club Mariner Youth Program for guests travelling with children or grandchildren, which offers the opportunity for everyone to experience the excitement of exploring the world in a meaningful and enriching way.

Day 7: Soak up the atmosphere in Corfu
After enjoying the beauty of Italy, this Mediterranean cruise gives you the opportunity to discover the undeniable splendor of the Greek islands with a visit to Corfu. Although known for its lush beauty and cosmopolitan atmosphere, Corfu has a turbulent history and there are several cultural museums that you can visit to learn more about the island and its eventual unification with modern Greece in 1864. If you would prefer to soak up the sun, there are plenty of pristine beaches to choose from and there are also some unbelievably pretty walking trails along the coastline for those that want to take in the natural sights, including sublime vistas of the sea.
Our recommended tour: We highly recommend enjoying our Corfu in a Day tour, which is a private experience that features the main attractions, including Archilleion. Or for something cultural, enjoy our Royal Palace of Corfu experience, which is a small-group shore excursion featuring the Royal Palace of Corfu, Archilleion and Corfu’s UNESCO-protected Old Town. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 8: Explore the coastal delights of Kotor
On day 8 of your Mediterranean cruise package, you will visit Kotor in Montenegro. This historic Mediterranean port is surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the Republic of Venice, and the Venetian influence remains dominant among the architectural styles. Kotor and the surrounding region are UNESCO protected and the Voyager usually navigates close by the small islands of St George and Our Lady of the Reef, giving you the chance to admire the beautiful natural vistas that this special part of the world is known for before enjoying the delights in Kotor itself.
Our recommended tours: Note that Kotor is highly protected and so watersports are not available at the port; however, we offer a selection of land adventures for your to enjoy, such as our Flavours of Montenegro Food Tour to an olive farm, or our beautiful Boka Bay Tour, which gives you the chance to visit one of Montenegro’s most beautiful churches. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 9: Absorb the picturesque landscape of Korcula
On one of the last days of your Mediterranean cruise package, you will have the opportunity to delight in the picture-postcard scenery in the island resort of Korcula in Croatia. This hidden gem is brimming with natural life, with vibrant olive groves and vineyards, and some rare Mediterranean wildlife species that create a magical atmosphere. Korcula famously claims to be the birthplace of Marco Polo and you will find many attractions on the island named after this great explorer, although it is generally considered that he was born in Venice. As well as the House of Marco (the disputed birthplace of Marco Polo), in Korcula you can enjoy sweeping views of the ocean from the town centre, as well as sun-soaked sandy beaches.
Our recommended tours: From Korcula, we offer a selection of exclusive shore excursions, including our popular Korcula Island Buggy Tour, with snorkeling, or the luxurious Mljet Island Yacht Excursion, which takes you to this idyllic National Park, where you can visit the 12th-century Benedictine monastery and enjoy a hearty lunch with Croatian favourites. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 10: Slip into serenity in the Floating City of Venice
On the last day of your Italy cruise package, you will stop at the magical city of Venice, which is one of Italy’s most popular and romantic holiday destinations. Here, you can enjoy the vibrancy of the Grand Canal, which is lined with decadent palaces that nod to Venice’s rich past, and marvel at the gondolas as they float by serenely. Venice has a wealth of attractions to enjoy and is the perfect place if you enjoy dynamic architecture – we highly recommend visiting Doge’s Palace, which is full of decadence and splendor, and don’t miss out on St Mark’s Square with its glorious Golden Basilica. And then there is the Rialto Bridge, as well as Venice’s hidden attractions, such as Teatro La Fenice and Scala del Bovolo. If you want to discover other delights in the Venetian Lagoon, we highly recommend taking a boat tour to Murano, Burano and Torcello, which are three islands nestled in the Venetian Lagoon where you can discover an authentic way of Venetian life and local crafts, including glass-blowing and lace-making.
Our recommended tours: The sublime attractions in Venice are not to be missed and our hand-selected shore excursions treat you to the top sights. For rich and varying architecture, opt for our Private Tour of Venice or, for something truly special and magical, treat yourself to a Private Gondola Ride of the Grand Canal. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 11: Departure in Venice
