Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome on board the Seven Seas Voyager
This Italy cruise package departs from Venice, with boarding beginning in the morning to afternoon on day 1 of your cruise. Venice has a wealth of attractions to enjoy before boarding the Voyager and is the perfect place if you enjoy dynamic architecture – we highly recommend visiting Doge’s Palace, which is full of decadence and splendor, and don’t miss out on St Mark’s Square with its glorious Golden Basilica. And then there is the Rialto Bridge, as well as Venice’s hidden attractions, such as Teatro La Fenice and Scala del Bovolo. If you want to discover other delights in the Venetian Lagoon, we highly recommend taking a boat tour to Murano, Burano and Torcello, which are three islands nestled in the Venetian Lagoon where you can discover an authentic way of Venetian life and local crafts, including glass-blowing and lace-making.
Our recommended tours:
We offer a complete holiday planning service, which means that we have the pleasure of offering you exclusive tours to enhance your experience. Our hand-selected Venice shore excursions treat you to the top sights – for rich and varying architecture, opt for our Private Tour of Venice or, for something truly special and magical, treat yourself to a Private Gondola Ride of the Grand Canal. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 2: Explore the history of the Venetian Empire in Koper
On the first full day of your luxury Mediterranean cruise, you will have a full day to discover the delights in the captivating marina town of Koper on the Slovenian coast. The town is characterised by its red-tiled buildings that contrast perfect with the glistening blue of the Adriatic Sea and it also has a wealth of Venetian-style architecture to discover, which is a nod to a time when Koper was a part of Venice’s Empire. Of the many attractions, we recommend seeing Titov Square and the gothic Praetorian Palace, and if you would like to discover the wider region, don’t miss the phenomenal Skocjan Caves, which are UNESCO protected, or visit Ljubljana, where you can take an idyllic river cruise featuring stunning views of the vibrant Slovenian countryside.
Our recommended tours: To discover the delights of Koper, why not choose our Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle Day Trip, which takes you to the best known cave in the world and one of the largest karst monuments. Or perhaps you would prefer our idyllic Lake Bled & Ljubljana Tour, featuring the delights of Slovenia’s capital and the untouched beauty of Lake Bled – one of the world’s most beautiful alpine resorts. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 3: Stroll along historic city walls in Dubrovnik
On day 3 of your Mediterranean you can discover the vibrant city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, known locally as the Pearl of the Adriatic. The city is a UNESCO-protected site and has been since 1979, and boasts spectacular city walls, which are certainly a must-see as the main attraction. In fact, Dubrovnik is considered to be among the 10 best mediaeval walled cities in the world and we highly recommend wandering along the walls, where you will be rewarded with simply stunning views over the Old Town and the shimmering Adriatic Sea.
Our recommended tours: Whilst in Dubrovnik, you can enjoy our Buggy Safari with Views of the Srdj Hill or perhaps you would prefer our refined Dubrovnik Tour & Wine-tasting Experience. For fans of the TV and book series Game of Thrones, don’t miss our themed tour experience! To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 4: Relax as the Regent Seven Seas Voyager cruises through the Mediterranean Sea
After leaving Croatia, the Voyager will cruise through the blissful waters of the Mediterranean Sea toward the stunning Greek islands. Whilst cruising, you can take advantage of the on-board facilities, such as the spa and fitness suite, or the duty-free boutiques. Regent Seven Seas also has a Club Mariner Youth Program for guests travelling with children or grandchildren, which offers the opportunity for everyone to experience the excitement of exploring the world in a meaningful and enriching way.

Day 5: Enjoy peace and serenity in Argostoli
After a full day at sea, on day 5 of your Mediterranean cruise you will arrive in the simply sublime Greek resort of Argostoli, which is full of charm and delightful cultural attractions, sitting on the idyllic island of Kefalonia. Its coastal landscape is defined by white limestone hills, which give the colourful fishing boats bobbing at the port a dramatic vibrancy. In Argostoli you can visit the vibrant open-air market or stop to see the Archaeological Museum with its rich collection of pieces from the Mycenean culture. If you are eager to buy special and unique gifts for loved ones, we recommend visiting Vallianos Square, where you can buy local delicacies, such as thyme honey and the fabulous Robola Taoussi white wine.
Our recommended tours: Whilst in Argostoli, you can enjoy our Highlights of Kefalonia tour, taking you to the Monastery of St Gerasimos, the Robola Winery, Drogarati Cave and much more! Or for something luxurious, choose our Private Wine Discovery, which includes a visit to one of Kefalonia’s best wineries, where you can sample impressive vintages and enjoy a lunch with homemade favourites. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 6: Marvel at Mount Etna in Taormina
After discovering the enticing beauty of the Greek islands, today you can explore the chic town of Taormina, which sits at the foothills of Mount Etna on the east coast of Sicily. The Voyager anchors in the bay of Giardini Naxos, allowing you to appreciate fantastic views of the UNESCO-protected natural site of Mount Etna and Taormina. It is just a short transfer to Taormina, where you can explore the fascinating attractions, such as the Duomo (Cathedral), Palazzo Corvaja, the Anglican Church of Saint George, the Church of San Domenico and the exquisite Baroque fountain. Alternatively, opt for one of our exclusive land excursions to see the wider region, including the epic Mount Etna.
Our recommended tour: We highly recommend enjoying our Mount Etna Wine-tasting Experience, featuring local wines produced from the Etna vineyards. Or for something a little more exhilarating, enjoy our Quad Bike Tour to the Etna Lava Fields. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 7: Sip limoncello in Sorrento
On the mid-point of your Italy cruise package you will visit the coastal town of Sorrento in South Italy. The town is a popular holiday destination and is known for its blossoming citrus groves – the lemons of which are used to make the famous Italian limoncello liqueur, which we highly recommend sampling – and there are many boutique shops to enjoy, where you can buy gifts, such as hand-painted ceramics. Being docked at Sorrento, you will also be able to admire the epic Mount Vesuvius, which stands proudly on the Neopolitan coast, as well as simply stunning coastal views and sea vistas. Sorrento is also the perfect base from which to discover the ancient settlements of Pompeii and Herculaneum, which were lost for nearly 1500 years following a historic volcanic eruption in 79 AD. Thanks to the rare level of preservation offered by the lava and ash that covered the cities, they are considered two of the best archaeological sites in the world where you can see how people lived so many years ago.
Our recommended tour: Journey back in time with our exclusive VIP Land Excursion to Pompeii, which features a thought-provoking tour of the archaeological site with a private guide. Or, for a relaxing treat, enjoy a Wine-tasting Experience in the Foothills of Mount Vesuvius, featuring local wines and decadent Italian snacks. Simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page for more information.

Day 8: Step back in time in the Eternal City
After discovering some of Italy’s most idyllic coastal sights, today you can discover one of the country’s most iconic cities as the Voyager docks at Civitavecchia – the nearest port to Rome. Civitavecchia itself has much to delight you, being an historic port town with roots dating back to Etruscan times, such as the Forte Michelangelo, Terme Taurine and Cattedrale di San Francesco. There is also a wealth of Roman and Vatican architecture to enjoy, as well as fascinating museums. However, the Eternal City of Rome is not to be missed while anchored at Civitavecchia so be sure to pre-arrange a day trip there so you can admire the magnificence of iconic landmarks, such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and Vatican City with its magical Sistine Chapel.
Our recommended tours: We offer an exclusive selection of VIP tours of Rome – simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page for more information.

Day 9: Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Amalfi Coast
On day 9 of your luxury Mediterranean cruise, you will have time to explore the highlights of the UNESCO-protected Amalfi Coast. The Voyager sits in the perfect location for you to explore two of this coastline’s most popular resorts: Amalfi and Positano. Both offer a relaxed atmosphere and idyllic sea views that will be sure to lull you into a state of complete relaxation. However, if you’re eager to discover the cultural treasures of this special place, then don’t miss Cathedral of Sant’Andrea, the church tower and the convent of the Cappuccini in Amalfi, and Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Positano, which features a majolica-tiled dome and a 13th-century Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary.
Our recommended tours: We offer a range of day tours from Amalfi. Choose from: a Private Amalfi Coast Driving Tour, featuring the prettiest coastal towns, a Day Trip to Pompeii with VIP Tour or a Wine-tasting Experience in the Foothills of Mount Vesuvius – the region’s resident volcano. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 10: Visit Tuscany’s Renaissance gems
In the closing days of your luxury Mediterranean cruise, you will stop at Livorno on Tuscany’s coast, where you will have a full day to explore. Livorno is an excellent base from which to discover some of our favourite towns and cities in Tuscany, such as Pisa, Lucca and Florence, and we can arrange a day trip to any of these cities as a part of your Italy cruise package so that you can simply relax and look forward to your Tuscan adventure. If you would prefer to discover the charming Tuscan atmosphere of Livorno, we highly recommend visiting the vibrant market and looking out for tasty cinque e cinque, which is a type of chickpea (garbanzo) pancake served in fresh focaccia with a spicy sauce.
Our recommended tours: We offer a range of day tours from Livorno. Choose from: a Day Tour to Pisa & Lucca with Wine Tasting, a Chianti Wine-tasting Experience or our Renaissance Walking Tour of Florence (with optional entry to the Accademia or Uffizi). To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 11: Experience luxury in Portofino
There are few resorts in Europe quite as exclusive as Portofino, which is a luxury holiday destination known for its outstanding natural beauty, colourful villas and sparkling sea waters. Sitting on the Italian Riviera, here you can be sure of the most sublime sea vistas and you will have a full day here to relax and rejuvenate in the sun. If you would like to explore the village attractions, we recommend the Castello Brown Museum and the churches of St Martin, Oratorio di Nostra Signora Assunta and St George – the latter contains some relics of saints that will intrigue those with an interest in spirituality and religion. However, if you would prefer something a little more active, stop by the Portofino Marine Park, where you can enjoy snorkeling and perhaps even see the underwater statue of the Christ of the Abyss.
Our recommended tour: If you want to relax in front of glorious views of the bay, we think you’ll love our Wine-tasting Experience, which also includes a special tasting of some luxury olive oils with homemade breads and snack – yum! To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.

Day 12: Mingle in Monte Carlo
After discovering the luxurious beauty of the Mediterranean, your cruise comes to an end in the exclusive resort of Monte Carlo in Monaco. This independent sovereign state is composed of four quarters: Fontvieille (the newest), Monaco-Ville (the oldest), La Condamine and Monte Carlo – the latter of which is one of Europe’s leading tourist destinations due to its wealth of attractions and unrivalled luxury. As well as the famously decadent casinos, Monte Carlo’s top attractions are the Cathédrale Paroisse, Eglise Sainte Dévôte, Jardin Exotique et Grottes de l’Observatoire, Monaco Top Cars Collection, Musée Océanographique and of course the Palace, all of which you can enjoy after disembarking the Voyager (from 7am).
Our recommended tours: We offer a selection of luxury tour experiences for your time in Monaco, including our small-group Monaco Walking Tour, featuring the famous sights of this glamorous principality. Alternatively, for something shamelessly decadent, opt for our Helicopter Tour of the French Riviera. To find out more, simply click the “Tours & Land Excursions” tab at the top of the page.
