About this Rome and Pontine Islands Cruise

Step back in time with 3 nights in the Eternal City of Rome before you are immersed in coastal beauty with a 7-night Pontine Islands cruise.

This Rome and Pontine Islands cruise has been hand-crafted by one of our travel experts to allow you to discover the diversity of Italy, with 3 nights in historic Rome and 7 nights cruising around the Pontine Islands, which are an exclusive archipelago nestled in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the west coast of Italy that is known for its rugged coastlines and idyllic sea views.

The Italy cruise package starts in Rome, where you can take your time to discover the city’s famous archaeological sites, such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum, as well as its stunning architecture depicted most famously by the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. With 3 nights in Rome, you will have plenty of time to discover all the main attractions, including the magical beauty of Vatican City, St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, as well as the unique local cuisine – we highly recommend trying Carciofi alla Romana! Plus, as a part of your tailor-made Italy holiday, we can arrange tours and activities so that you don’t miss out on the top attractions.

After you have discovered the history and culture of Rome, it is time to relax and lap up the sunshine with a 7-night cruise of the Pontine Islands. We will whisk you in a luxury private car from Rome to Nettuno, where you will board our charming sailing ship and settle into your private cabin. During the cruise, you will have the opportunity to explore these peaceful islands and enjoy sea swimming, snorkeling and water sports, or simply sit back aboard the cruise ship and lap up the sunshine in complete bliss. As a part of the Pontine Islands cruise you will visit the main islands of Ponza and Ventotene, and there will also be the opportunity to discover the tranquil atmosphere and undisturbed landscape of the smaller islands. In particular, you can visit Palmarola to see the Punta Fieno or relax on the stunning Chiaia di Luna beach, or perhaps you would like to discover the untamed beauty of the Pontine Islands’ coastline as the boat cruises by breath-takingly beautiful sights, such as Piscine Naturali, Cala Gaetano, Cala Inferno and Cala del Cuore.

With the diverse combination of Rome’s history and culture and the stunning island scenes that can only be found on the Pontine Islands, this is the perfect Rome and Pontine Islands cruise on which you can discover famous attractions but also have plenty of time to relax and rejuvenate. We love it as a romantic couples’ holiday or honeymoon, but with several cultural and archaeological sites to visit it is also an excellent choice for a unique family holiday to Italy. Plus, with our customised service, we can include optional extras in your Italy cruise package, such as tours and activities or special meals at local restaurants.
